A Maude-Based Formal Approach to Control and Analyze Time-Resource Aware Missioned Systemsof-Systems
Résumé
Systems-of-Systems (SoSs) are increasinglyutilized to integrate multiple Constituent-Systems (CSs) andfulfill missions surpassing the capabilities of individual systems.Successful mission execution relies on effective management oftime and resources. Time constraints denote the timeframeswithin these missions must be completed, and resourceconstraints involve the allocation of necessary resources forexecution. Addressing these dynamic behavior factors in SoSsposes significant challenges and necessitates the adoption ofcontrol strategies for efficient coordination and execution ofmissions. To confront these challenges, this paper introduces anovel hybrid approach, merging an MDA technique (TRC-MM:Time-Resource Aware Control Meta-model) and Maudelanguage to formally specify and control missions. Thisapproach specifically incorporates time-resource awaremissions, resource dependencies, and control mechanisms in thededicated TRC-MM. Further, RT-Maude is utilized as theformal specification language to develop an executable formalmodel for the controller’s behavior in SoSs’ missions, offering apowerful analysis method to express and verify behavioralproperties pertaining to time and resource constraints.
