Production Activity Control Using Autonomous Agents

Abstract

Till now, production system could be considered as relative static system evolving/moving slightly in time. But today, it must be considered according to a dynamic point of view in order to adapt to the company's evolutions, and to anticipate the fluctuations of the environment and the market. In this paper, we present agent-based modeling for production activity control, and we detail the design of a production activity control system based on distributed structure. After having introduced the context and reasoning work, we describe the approach used and the different parts of a platform for production activity control. Lastly, we illustrate this approach on a practical example of production cell.
